Air Jet revised / Air Jet 2 temperature profiles
The graphs are the results from a study made by one of our customers. A standard forming fabric was run through the heat zone of an Air Through Compact at 10 ft/min (3.0 m/min), and the temperatures were recorded in 16 positions across the width of the fabric, top and bottom.
This figure shows the temperatures at the surfaces through the heat zone in one specific position in the cross machine direction.
This figure shows a 3-D representation of the top surface temperature in the heat zone. It is seen that the temperatures approach the set point temperature rapidly, and that they remain within narrow limits for a long time. This ensures that the fabric is heatset properly.
